Protect your crops from frost
Receive preventive warnings, activate frost irrigation and receive confirmation of its activation
What do you need?
A 4-20mA temperature sensor connected to the controller through the analogue input option, or located remotely using radio or mono-cable modules with analogue inputs.
A pressure switch or a flow detector to receive confirmation of the activation of frost irrigation.
The GPRS option and a communications option (Web Platform, Agrónic PC Program, or SMS) on the controller.
For the Agrónic 2500, it is required that you have the plus option.
For the Agrónic 4000, it is required that you have a conditions option.
What possibilities does the controller allow for?
• Warnings: set warnings for different temperatures and receive audible alarms, notifications, and/or mobile SMS.
• Actions: set up conditions to start programs depending on the temperature, allowing for manual or automatic irrigation.
• Records: receive confirmation of the irrigation’s activation and graph the progression of the temperature.
How is it configured?
For the Agrónic 2500, 5500, and Bit
1. Register the temperature sensor in the “Parameters, analogue sensors” section of the controller, assigning the input and the format.
2. Register the pressure switch or flow detector in the “Parameters, digital sensors” section of the controller by assigning the input.
3. Set a condition from the “Parameters, conditioners” section to notify when the temperature of the sensor drops below the reference that you indicate.
4. If you also want to start a frost irrigation program, you must configure another condition from the “Parameters, conditioners” section and associate it with the program from the “Parameters, programs” section.
5. Create a warning condition from the “Parameters, conditions” section to confirm if the frost irrigation has begun when the pressure switch or flow detector indicates it.
6. If you want to visualize the progression of the temperature, you can consult the graph in the Agrónic APP, or create it in Agrónic Web or Agrónic PC.
For the Agrónic 4000
1. Register the temperature sensor in the “Parameters, analogue sensors” section of the controller, assigning the input and the format.
2. Set the pressure switch or flow detector as “flow detector” in the “Parameters, sectors” section by assigning the input.
3. Configure the anti-freeze program through “Parameters, programs.” In condition 01, choose type 02, the sensor number set in point 1, and if you wish, to receive SMS messages.
4. In the frost program, set the activation temperature by pressing the MODE key when the cursor is at the start time.
5. To receive an audible warning of the activation of the frost program, select the alarm warning type for “Program: start of condition” in the Agrónic APP in the records section.
6. To receive an audible warning when the frost program has not yet started, select an alarm warning type for “Sector without flow” in the Agrónic APP in the records section.
7. If you want to visualize the progression of the temperature, you can consult the graph in the Agrónic APP, or create it in Agrónic Web or Agrónic PC.
