Know the advantages of using uniform fertilization

Uniform fertilization applies an even dosage of fertilizer during the entire irrigation period, distributing the solution to optimize the dosage applied to the crops.

Applicable in Agrónic 2500 with Plus option, Agrónic 4000 version 3 and Agrónic 5500 controllers.

WHAT ARE ITS ADVANTAGES?

A distributed dosage of nutrients during irrigation helps improve their absorption, contributing to the homogeneous growth of the crop, preventing losses from drainage in the soil and sedimentation in pipes.

If applied through simple Venturi hydraulic systems, its use reduces installation and operating costs.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • If it is configured by volume, the system takes into account the maximum flow rate of each fertilizer, the expected flow rate of the sectors, and the irrigation and fertilizer units in each program.

  • If configured by time, the system takes into account both the irrigation and fertilization time in each program.

HOW DO YOU CONFIGURE IT?

Uniform fertilization adjusts the dosage of fertilizers by distributing them evenly between pre- and post- irrigation. The controller calculates the volume or time to apply it for its uniform distribution.

  • If the irrigation and fertilizer are applied by volume, it will be necessary to configure the expected flow rate of each sector and the maximum injection flow rate of each fertilizer.

  • If the irrigation and fertilizer are applied by time, the controller will automatically calculate the fertilizer distribution.

  • If the irrigation is applied by time and the fertilizer by volume, only the maximum injection flow rate of each fertilizer will need to be set.

  • If irrigation is applied by volume and fertilizer by time, it will only be necessary to configure the expected flow rate of each sector.

HOW ARE THE FERTILIZERS INJECTED?

Through a Venturis system in an “injection kit” using “Sirai” or “Fip” solenoids, for the Agrónic 2500 plus, Agrónic 4000, and Agrónic 5500 systems.

In the Agrónic 4000 or Agrónic 2500/5500 with additional equipment, it is also possible to use an injection pump with a variable-frequency drive for each fertilizer.

DOSAGE THROUGH VENTURIS

The Agrónic 2500 and Agrónic 5500 will open and close the suction valves with the pulse rate set for uniform delivery. If a very consistent injection is required, it can be done at least every 10 seconds; the pulse rate can be set in the "Parameters - Installer" section.
For volume injection, it is recommended to install a compensation column (tube) between the solenoid valve of each fertilizer and its volumetric meter to ensure the correct reading of the applied volume.

The Agrónic 4000 allows pulse rates of less than 10 seconds:

  • For pulse rates between 1 and 25 seconds, the pulse outputs of the “analogue inputs and outputs” option can be used. It is configured in the “Parameters - Fertilizers” section.

  • For pulse rates longer than 10 seconds, the standard relay outputs can be used. It is configured in the "Parameters - Installer" section.

DOSING BY INJECTION PUMP

Available for Agrónic 4000 or Agrónic 2500 and Agrónic 5500 controllers with 4-20mA pulse transmitters.

To apply the programmed fertilizer units, the Agrónic will calculate the uniform dosage percentage, and with this, it will set a constant speed in the injector engine.
The inverter of each injector pump will be connected to the 4-20mA outputs of the “analogue inputs and outputs” option.

For more details on the configuration, refer to the Fertilization Parameters section of each controllers's manual.
